Gambling Help Atlas

About

About this site

What Gambling Help Atlas is, how we check facts, why there are no ads or affiliate links, how to report an error and how to link to this page.

Gambling Help Atlas is a free information site about gambling problems, self-exclusion and where to get help. It covers the UK, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Germany, in six languages. Its aim is to make the right helpline or register easy to find.

What this site is

  • Free to use. There is nothing to pay and no account to create.
  • No advertising. We do not show ads.
  • No affiliate links. We do not earn from clicks, sign-ups or deposits.
  • No sponsored content. No company pays for what is written here.
  • No gambling company names in a positive light. The site never recommends where to gamble. Company names appear only when they are part of a help service or register.

The site exists to help people cut down or stop, support the people around them and find official services.

Is this the official Spelpaus register?

No. This site is not Spelpaus and is not run by the Swedish Gambling Authority. The register itself is at spelpaus.se, and that is where you sign up.

How do we check the facts?

We write from official and well-established sources, such as the services’ own websites, the NHS and the Gambling Commission. Each page lists the sources used, with the date each was checked. Where we cannot confirm a detail, we leave it out or tell you to check the service directly.

Every page shows the date it was last checked. We review the whole site at least once every quarter, and we re-check phone numbers and links when we do.

What this site is not

This site gives general information. It does not give medical advice, and it does not diagnose anything. The self-check is informal and is not a validated test. For advice about your own situation, call a helpline or speak to a doctor. If you need help now, see where to get help.

How do I report a mistake?

If you spot an error, an out-of-date number or a missing service, we want to know. Write to post@spelpaus.co. Reports are checked against official sources before any change is made.

Yes. Publishers, affiliates and operators are welcome to link to Gambling Help Atlas from responsible gambling pages. Ready-made links are in the websites section on the home page. Please link to the page that fits your readers best, such as the help page or the self-exclusion guide.
